Amber Alert Deactivation: 13-year-old girl has been located and is safe

Aurora police have deactivated an Amber Alert for a missing 13-year-old girl.

Ta-Kyrah Blackman was last seen at 2 p.m. Tuesday on foot in the 300 block of North Joliet Street in Aurora. Investigators say she has been located and is safe.

Police named a suspect in the case, Navarro Cathey, and say Blackman is now safe.

Cathey is 41 years old and is 6 feet tall, weighing 160 pounds. He may have been driving a dark blue 2001 Ford Crown Victoria with a spotlight on the driver’s side and tinted windows. The sedan has the California license plate 8XMT336.
