Ms. Malissa Sergent Lewis had no idea she’d be saving a life on her way to work last week. But that’s exactly what she did.
On Thursday morning, Lewis was running late for work at a Kentucky elementary school, so she took a back road shortcut instead. Lewis saw something breathtakingly different while strolling down that quiet country road, despite her haste.
“Did that bag move just now?’ As I drove by this rubbish bag on the road, I wondered. “I noticed it was moving as I got closer,” she told The Dodo. “I had trouble understanding that.” I knew there was something alive within that sack, and I wanted to get it out.” Read the full story here ▶
