A man learns that his Basset Hound is a natural sheep dog

Lady the Basset hound has a remarkable ability for sheep herding for a dog with no training, even if she is blissfully oblivious of what she is doing! Bassett hounds aren’t the first dog breed that comes to mind when you think of sheep dogs, but Lady recently shown to her owner that she’s a natural!

Michael Jobson, from Gamlingay, England, is a mechanical engineer and part-time farmer. He accidentally realized that his 3-year-old dog is a natural herder. Michael’s little flock of sheep follows Lady about, although the lovely dog seemed to be more focused with smelling the grass. That doesn’t stop the sheep from keeping an eye on her every move.

“This amusing clip shows the naïve dog meandering about in a field on several times, as hundreds of sheep plod behind her, hanging on her every movement,” Michael adds.
