A Russian man stepped off the roof of a highrise while his friends were filming. The next day everyone saw this video

Walking the line

Konstantin Glucharew from Barnaul, Russia, achieved the astounding feat of walking a slackline between two 16-storey buildings.

Konstantin’s friends made a video of his daring stunt and posted it on Youtube and the Russian social media site “VK” the next day:

The video post included this excited announcement: “Friends!!! We made it!!! We managed to walk 100 feet, 200 feet above the ground!!! With an excellent view over the city)) It took more than one attempt, but Konstantin Glucharew managed to pull himself together and walked it!!!! And this is amazing!)”

The 34-year-old Russian is an experienced slackliner, but when he’s not risking his life 100 feet above the ground he has a day job working as a wedding photographer.

Even though tightrope walking has been around in various forms for thousands of years, slacklining is a fairly recent phenomena and has been around for only about 40 years. As Konstantin and his friends have shown, even with a safety harness it can still be a very nerve-racking and thrilling thing to watch and only experienced slackliners should attempt crossings at these heights. In other words, don’t try this at home!
