A teen girl who dialed 911 to get help for her dying father was arrested because of a word she used during the call

Adrianne Ledesma, 17, called 911 after her father collapsed in their kitchen and began having a seizure. The seizure occurred three weeks after he was hospitalized and underwent brain surgery, WXYZ reported.

Ledesma did not get an answer on her first attempt, so she called again. Panicked, she said “What the f—,” while the phone was ringing — not knowing that Sgt. Robert McFarland picked up in exactly that moment.

The teen asked McFarland for an ambulance, but he responded by criticizing her language, according to a transcript of the call via Lybio. Read the full story here ▶
