A man shot in Denver Wednesday morning died at a local hospital and police have arrested a suspect.

About 9:10 a.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of West Mosier Place on a shooting, a victim was found and taken to a hospital where he died, according to a Denver Police Department news release.

The incident began as an argument between two men who knew each other and it escalated into a shooting, police said.

A suspect, identified as Anthony Huff, 64, has been arrested on investigation of first-degree murder, police said.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will release the name of the victim after family has been notified of his death.
