Innocent or just the claims of a calculating mind …? A former Texas health aide worker charged with the serial killings 18 elderly women in the Dallas area over the course of a two year period has told a publication he is innocent of the murders while saying he will be acquitted in the case.

During a phone interview from Dallas County Jail last week, Billy Chemirmir denied all the charges against him and told The Dallas Morning News that he is ‘100% sure I will not go to prison.’

The man’s claims comes as the former caregiver continues to remain incarcerated as he awaits an April 25 retrial after the first jury to hear a murder case against him deadlocked 11-1. It was not clear what verdict the majority of jurors supported during the trial.

In November, his murder trial in the death of 81-year-old Lu Thi Harris ended in a mistrial.Read the full article here ▶
