Because Meghan Markle is heavily pregnant, she was not cleared to travel to the U.K. to attend Prince Philip ‘s funeral. That being said, it turns out that Prince Harry’s actress wife watched the service from the back home in California.
Not only that but, she also made sure to send a gift to the royal family before the funeral.

As those who keep up with the royal family are aware, Prince Harry flew to the United Kingdom by himself since Meghan was not cleared to fly.
That’s not to say that she did not let everyone at the Palace know that she was thinking of them.
She did this by sending a very special present – a beautiful wreath and a handwritten note – as per Vanity Fair.

The wreath, which was made from locally sourced flowers, was definitely laid down at the funeral earlier today.
Furthermore, it was reportedly designed by Willow Crossley, who also worked with Meghan and Harry on their flower arrangements for their wedding but also for their son Archie Harrison‘s christening and the Hubb Community cookbook’s launch!
The married pair even asked for the wreath to include Acanthus mollis (also known as Bear’s breeches).
This is the national flower of Greece and it was used as a way to honor Prince Philip’s heritage.
Another meaningful flower featured was eryngium (aka sea holly), which represents the Royal Marines.
Others were campanula, which symbolizes gratitude and everlasting love, rosemary for remembrance, lavender, meaning devotion, and finally, roses, which are Prince Philip’s birth month flower!
Prince Philip, who was Queen Elizabeth’s longtime husband, passed away at the age of 99 on April 9.
Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, he was honored in a rather low-key service so it was for the better that Maghan could not also make it. The maximum number of attendees was 30.
