In November 2020, Georgia mom Jennifer Bryant Hodge lost her son, Robbie, to drug-related causes.
But now the mother says she got a chance to see him one more time thanks to the Nest security camera in her home.
Hodge wrote on Facebook that she was home with her daughter watching television when they got a notification that the camera detected a person inside.
She wrote:
Last night, I was home alone with my youngest daughter watching a show in my bedroom… We started an hour long episode at 11:15pm and at 12:18pm my daughter looked at my phone and saw a notification from our Nest security system saying “Person Spotted in Entryway” from 11:51pm. When we pulled up the image this is what we saw…
When the mom looked at the camera, she allegedly saw a familiar face — her late son.
Hodge wrote that the figure captured by the security camera footage looked remarkably like Robbie. She said:
For everyone who knows what my son looks like , they know that this looks just like him beard and all! When I went to the kitchen the nest camera was in flip out mode…I thought it was broken, simply a strange night at the hodge house, to say the least.
She told the Daily Mail that she and her daughter ran to the kitchen but didn’t see anything unusual other than the camera seemingly malfunctioning.
The mom wasn’t scared. Instead, Hodge said she thought it was a sign that her son was watching over her family.
She continued:
We have no clue what to think about all of this but so happy to be able to know my beautiful boy is always with us! Please share as this offers hope for so many….
Hodge said she hasn’t spotted anything else out of the ordinary since the incident.
