On January 19, 2021, everyone in Lauren Grant’s family, including Lauren, her husband Dylan, and daughters Emma, age 4, and Madeline, aged 5 months, tested positive for COVID-19, including Lauren and her husband. At first glance, it appeared that everyone had recovered very rapidly. Lauren, a nurse, received a text message from a daycare staff member in early February, shortly after her girls were authorized to return to the facility.
