“A lot of people will take out their phones but not help a person,” said 3rd-degree Gracie jiu-jitsu black belt Idriz Redzovic, “I decided to jump in.” Which meant very bad karma for a suspected thief in Chicago.
Redzovic was at the store getting Slurpees for his kids when he noticed a man harrassing patrons and then employees. “Once I saw him actually connect and hit the employee in his head, I jumped in, grabbed him like I do in training here, put him down, flattened him like a pancake and then I tied him up like a pretzel in a position called ‘Gift Wrap’ or ‘Twisting Arm Control,’” Redzovic said.
