TMZ released footage of the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole fight at practice, and NBA Twitter reacted to the clip.

The focus of the NBA has been on the Golden State Warriors. Not just because they are the defending NBA champions, but because of the reported altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole during practice on Wednesday. It was reported that the two had gotten chest-to-chest, shoved each other, leading to Green throwing a punch at him.

But on Friday, TMZ obtained footage from said practice. In the clip, the two can be seen exchanging words. That is when Poole shoved Green, who responded by throwing a vicious punch at his head. Poole then fell to the court, and the two were separated.

Twitter users shared their thoughts on the footage that leaked, including Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, who tweeted “Draymond is tryna get to LA.”

Warriors don’t practice today. Draymond Green is supposed to rejoin the team tomorrow at the facility, per Kerr. The video leak only adds to the building tension around the situation. This is a fierce swing. Everyone is fortunate Poole is fine. https://t.co/s9SJbzwGYd

On one hand you have Draymond Green, a team leader & veteran, rolling up on & throwing a haymaker at an unsuspecting, much smaller, teammate.

On the other hand, you have some anonymous employee who leaked the video.

Curious to see who focus on which party today!

Beyond that being a sucka move, Draymond needs to know what he did to Jordan Poole as a man, the Warriors as a team and his own legacy! Leadership is more than holding teammates accountable, you gotta check yourself too! Carry on…

Will be writing on the Draymond situation today, but after attending the pressers yesterday and thinking about it, one thing that jumps out:

This is Steph Curry’s team. Not Steph and Draymond’s team.

Steph Curry’s team. Draymond isn’t a leader. He abdicated that on Tuesday.

WE NEED TO GET DRAYMOND IN THE RING 😤💥🥊 he threw a smooth straight right hand so clean 😂😂

Just spent five full minutes trying to trade Draymond for Russell Westbrook on the trade machine, and can unfortunately confirm the NBA salary cap disallows this specific affront to god.

When the report from The Athletic dropped on Wednesday, it was said that Green would be facing disciplinary action from the team. Later on, Yahoo Sports senior NBA insider Chris Haynes tweeted out that Green was “apologetic” following the incident, but noted that teammates noticed “a change in Poole’s behavior throughout camp with the guard on the verge of securing a contract extension.”

On Thursday, Warriors general manager Bob Myers told the media that Green apologized to the team for the incident. However, Myers said that he does not expect Green to miss any games. It’s important to note that that was said before the release of the footage.

“These things happen. Nobody likes it, we don’t condone it, but it happens,” Myers said, h/t ESPN’s Kendra Andrews. “Draymond apologized to the team. Jordan was there in the room. … As far as any suspension, punishment, fine, we will handle that internally.”

It will be interesting to see what punishment the team agrees upon for Green.
