Wallet Theft Gone Wrong: Bronx Robber Slashes Victim During Robbery Attempt

Surveillance Footage Released of Suspect in Recent Bronx Slashing

The NYPD has released surveillance footage of the suspect wanted for a recent slashing in the Van Nest section of the Bronx. The incident occurred on February 15th, around 7 pm. The police have also released footage of the car that the suspected slasher used to make his escape.

The Incident

According to the cops, the victim, a 50-year-old man, was standing on the corner of Mansion Street and Beach Avenue when a man in a light hoodie walked up behind him and attempted to remove the wallet from the victim’s back pocket. The victim fought back, and the pickpocket pulled out a knife and slashed his hand. The victim managed to escape, and the would-be robber fled on foot. Read the full story here ▶
