Horrific new details emerge after a little girl was dragged over a fence and almost mauled to death by two unregistered dogs

After being pulled over a fence and mauled by two bullmastiff dogs, a six-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital from the abdomen and chest injuries.

On Monday in the late afternoon, Laquarna Chapman Palmer from Woodridge, south of Brisbane, was brought to Queensland Children’s Hospital, where she is still in critical condition.

One of her neighbor’s dogs rushed at her while she was playing on a fence and dragged her over. Then she was mauled by two dogs. Reece Chapman, her uncle, heard her screams and ran to her aid right away, but he was hurt in the process.

The Logan City Council has taken custody of both unregistered dogs, and they will be put down today. Mr. Chapman, who was attacked by the dog, had 10 stitches in his legs and is still using crutches.

I believed she was gone, he admitted to 7News. I jumped the fence to aid my mother after hearing her cry in agony.

One of the dogs was about to bite her in the face. I launched a chair at the canine. “I attempted throwing her over the fence, but I got attacked by the dogs in the end.”

In the hospital, her mother has stayed by her side and reports that she is “doing okay.” The family said that they had no animosity toward the neighbors because they are “lovely” people.

Regional Acting Deputy Commission Mark Wheeler described the incident as “absolutely awful” and added that police are looking into it.

Of naturally, Mr. Wheeler added, “Our thoughts are with the little girl, her family, and the friends, and we wish her a rapid recovery.”
