A pedestrian hit by an SUV in southwest Aurora on Friday night has died, police said.
The incident happened just before 10 p.m. on South Havana Street near East Tennessee Avenue, the Aurora Police Department said in a news release.
The driver, a 36-year-old Texas woman, of a Toyota Highlander was northbound on Havana when the SUV hit a 46-year-old man who was crossing mid-block, police said. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with investigators. The man’s name will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
An investigation is ongoing, police said. Friday’s incident is the 32nd traffic-related death this year in Aurora.
