Authorities said the 5-year-old child, Sophia, reportedly died of a methamphetamine overdose after drinking a water mixture from her mother’s homemade bong.
After the young girl complained that the water mixture tasted “yucky,” her mother, Stephanie, realized something was seriously wrong but allegedly chose not to call 911. Investigators later learned that Stephanie had lost her job after failing a drug test and had shared meth with two relatives that same day, adding another disturbing layer to the case.
