The 47-year-old man, Robert, was reportedly a former boyfriend of Brittany’s mother and raised her for about a decade after her mother abandoned her.
He had been put on probation after pleading “no contest” to molesting Brittany as a child. During the trial, Robert denied abusing her. He was convicted of molesting when she was between the ages of 4 and 12 while he was dating her mother and was given probation.
But, reportedly, Brittany and her boyfriend Jace believed that was not enough.
