Inmates killed a convicted pedophile while behind bars at a federal detention prison.
Christian Maire, a 40-year-old, had been sentenced to 40 years in prison after the FBI discovered he was the “mastermind” of child exploitation and pornography ring.
Though his sentence was to ensure he faces the consequences of his crime, inmates at the prison decided the death penalty was the proper punishment.
After the attack, Maire was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead several hours later. According to a medical examiner, Maire died of multiple stabbing and blunt force on his head.
