According to the court documents, the 21-year-old mom, later identified as Makalia, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after he reportedly grabbed her newborn baby before she repeatedly and forcibly threw the 2-month-old child on the roadway, killing her, and then fled into nearby woods upon police arrival.
Prosecutors said the woman repeatedly threw her newborn daughter on the road. The 911 caller told the dispatcher about severely injured baby.
The responding officers made contact with the woman, who was not identified, who was holding the injured child. Several witnesses told authorities that they reportedly saw the mother repeatedly and forcibly slam the 2-month-old baby Khalesie on the ground. Read the full story here ▶
