But for Minu Pauline, the owner of Pappadavada Restaurant in Kochi, one encounter changed everything.
Late one night, as she watched a homeless woman rummaging through the garbage bin outside her establishment, a realization hit her with full force—she had been discarding perfectly good leftover food while someone in need was searching for nourishment.
Pauline realized she needed to find a solution to this issue after seeing this poignant sight. “That the woman had been sleeping but had to get up because she was hungry, so she went in search of food instead of sleeping.”
