Surveillance Footage Released of Suspect in Recent Bronx Slashing
The NYPD has released surveillance footage of the suspect wanted for a recent slashing in the Van Nest section of the Bronx. The incident occurred on February 15th, around 7 pm. The police have also released footage of the car that the suspected slasher used to make his escape.
The Incident
According to the cops, the victim, a 50-year-old man, was standing on the corner of Mansion Street and Beach Avenue when a man in a light hoodie walked up behind him and attempted to remove the wallet from the victim’s back pocket. The victim fought back, and the pickpocket pulled out a knife and slashed his hand. The victim managed to escape, and the would-be robber fled on foot.
The Attacker
The attacker fled the scene without the wallet and was seen jumping into a dark-colored Mini Cooper. The victim received treatment from EMS at the scene.
Video Footage
The investigators released video footage showing the suspect arguing with another person and clicking the alarm to the dark Mini Cooper that cops are searching for.
