Doctor’s Office Kicks Out Uniformed Police Chief Who Had Appt, Made To Regret It

Police Chief Philip Dupuis showed up for a routine appointment at his ear, nose, and throat specialist’s office straight from work. He was wearing his full dress officer’s uniform. As the Chief of Police in Conroe, Texas, he did not have much downtime, which is why he did not change clothes before the appointment.

Dupuis did not think anything of arriving in uniform. Many law enforcement officers go to restaurants, run errands, or visit the doctor or dentist during breaks or right after a shift. When they are in uniform, they are required to carry their firearms at all times in case of an emergency.
